Jesus was not about worshipping himself; he was all about pointing others to God, celebrating God’s presence in our lives and expressing our gratitude to the Giver of all Life.

The whole congregation gathers Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. for worship. Our worship engages all of our senses with a variety of sacred musical genres from contemporary to traditional music and hymns, sometimes dramas, dance or digital presentations, and sharing. Worship always includes a time for a conversation prayer and song for children before they go downstairs for a children’s program and a sermon time and prayers and silence for adults.

PREACHING MINISTRY: Each week, our ministers help us to ponder spiritual questions and relevant faith issues that we face in our every day contemporary lives. You can check out our sermons on podcast or read them online; for upcoming sermon series check out Facebook.

MUSIC MINISTRY: Our 75 minute worship time always involves the Praise Band and Spirit Chorus choir and on the last Sunday of the month we hear from our Children’s Choir.

DANCE MINISTRY: We have beautiful dancers who occasionally bring the message to life.

DRAMA MINISTRY: Our ministers love to contemporize the scripture through drama for us to act out in a fun and meaningful way occasionally in the Sunday Morning service. At Christmas we have three Christmas Eve Services: an interactive pageant for the little ones at 5:30, a Children’s Musical written by our minister Traci Hubbard which the children and youth offer at 7:30 (Wonderboy, Discovering the Manger at Hogwarts, The Grinch Who Tried to Steal Christmas) and a quiet, contemplative candlelight and communion service with the choir at 9:30. On Palm/Passion Sunday we have also dramatized the passion of Jesus in a play written by our minister Jennifer Ferguson which involved our choir and young families. Let us know if you love to act.

DIGITAL MINISTRY: Our Office Administrator puts together our worship service on media shout which uses images, presentations and movie clips to engage and inspire us and our Sound and Digital Technician keeps worship running smoothly.

COMMUNION AND BAPTISMS: Five times a year we remember Jesus’ last supper and celebrate the oneness of all things with the Sacrament of Communion. We celebrate the joy of baptisms whenever they are requested and on membership Sunday after Easter.

SPECIAL SERVICES: On the second Sunday in December at 7:00 pm we honour all those who have experienced the loss of a loved one in a Blue Christmas Service, followed by a luncheon.

Our ministry of music is led by our married music team: Greg and Amanda Massey.

This group of guitarists, drummers and singers meet Sunday mornings at 9:15 to rehearse the praise songs for Sunday morning. Traci Hubbard loves to write music for this group. If you sing or play an instrument come out and join us.

This choir meets on Thursday evenings at 7:30 pm and again on Sunday mornings at 9:45 to rehearse for their Choir Anthem which they offer in Sunday morning worship. They also sing at concerts and special times throughout the year offering both sacred and secular songs. We would love for you to come out and sing with us.

Amanda meets with the children during Sunday School every week and on the last Sunday of the month they offer their songs to God in church. They also sing at special times throughout the year in the Children’s Musical and at the Family Christmas Eve Service at 7:30 pm. This year they will be offering the musical God in the City on Sunday, May 3rd at 10:30 in worship.

Every year our choir blesses us with special music in concerts during the Christmas and Easter seasons. This year they are performing Songs and Sweets on March 22nd at 2:00 pm, on Good Friday in the Mass Choir, and at the Oscars on June 7th they are singing Broadway show tunes.
