This Team works with the other LSU Ministries to develop and implement a year round on-going Stewardship Program across all ages of the congregation with a focus on the gifts of time, talent and treasure. Our role is to work with other LSU Teams to develop and implement a year-round, ongoing Stewardship program with all ages in the congregation. In addition we are responsible for stewarding and administering the finances of the church. This includes ensuring that we have enough funds to sustain our operating costs and to support all the wonderful ministries at LSU. Our 2015 budget is over $400,000. There are many ways to give in support of LSU … regular givings at Sunday Worship, Special Donations, Planned Legacy Givings and Bequests, On-line Donations, Securities and Fundraisers. THANK YOU for the gifts of your time, talents and money in support of LSU’s mission!

We encourage those who consider themselves part of Living Spirit to contribute financially to the church at the level that they are able to give with a cheerful and generous heart out of our gratitude for the gifts of God and our compassion. We believe that our church makes a difference in our lives and the lives of others so we back our belief in the important work we do with financial gifts every Sunday through weekly envelope givings or Pre-Authorized Remittance through our banks or a designated giving through United Way and special donations.

If you believe in the work of our church and want to see the good work we do continue after you have died, you can make arrangements through your Last Will for a special bequest to Living Spirit United Church.

If you want to contribute to the life and work of Living Spirit we thank you in advance for your generous donation to us. Simply click on the Donate tab, follow the instructions and receive a tax receipt for your contribution.

A gift of publicly listed securities such as stocks and mutual funds can be a good way to make donations to LSU as there are no taxes on capital gains for donated publicly listed securities. Because you don’t pay capital gains tax and you get a charitable tax receipt, the cost of making a gift of stocks, mutual funds, or other securities can be less than if you made a gift of the amount using cash. Please contact the Office for more information.

Every year we host various fundraisers for our church and have lots of fun and fellowship in the process. This year we will be working towards our goal of raising $40,000 for our church through various fun events. If you are willing to help organize or assist in any of these fun projects let us know.
